Watch the documentary of the work I did teaching seniors storytelling!

In 2016 I was part of a 5 month storytelling workshop with Brooklyn seniors.

Dawn Fraser, Meliora Dockery and I had an inspired experience and Amy Grumbling filmed it!

I could not be more proud!

The seniors of the Catholic Charities St. Charles Jubilee Senior Center have stories to tell!

Created with and edited by documentary filmmaker Amy Grumbling (Co-Producer, Heaven + Earth + Joe Davis), the film documents this diverse group of Brooklynites crafting and sharing their real life stories. Subjects include tales about family, romance, international travel and adventures in a local Laundromat. The stories were performed publicly in 2016 as part of the SU-CASA artist in residency program. The collaboration was facilitated by artists in residence Cyndi Freeman, Dawn J. Fraser and Meliora Dockery. This documentary is a celebration, as well as the culmination, of 5 months of work, honing experiences from real life into polished gems.

Stories Of New York – Seniors is sponsored in part by The SU-CASA Program and the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC).
